[origin: WO2012076244A1] The invention relates to an external wall for a vehicle, which external wall is constructed from a plurality of interconnected sheet metal panels (AH, AV, AVO, AVU, AVM) and which has reinforcement elements (V1, V2) which counteract deflection of the external wall, the external wall itself and the external sheet metal panels (AH, AV, AVO, AVU, AVM) each having a substantially rectangular shape, at least one of the external sheet metal panels (AH, AV, AVO, AVU, AVM) being shaped on one of its sides, provided for connection to an adjacent external sheet metal panel (AH, AV, AVO, AVU, AVM), in such a way that this side also acts as a reinforcement element (V1, V2).
