[origin: WO2012075995A1] The invention relates to a panel railing (10) having a dimensionally stable U-section (22). The base region (20) of a panel, such as especially the glass panel (18) of a railing, can be fixed between the two limbs (24, 26) of the U-section. Spacers (54, 64) are respectively arranged in the open region of the U-section (22), between the panel (18) and a limb (24, 26) of the U-section (22). A wedge body (64) is provided as a spacer in the upper free edge region of at least one of the two limbs (24), one of the outer surfaces (68) of said wedge body pressing against the limb (24), and the other opposing outer surface of the wedge body pressing against the panel (18). The upper edge region of the wedge body (64) is provided with a projection (66) oriented towards said limb (24). The inner side of the limb (24) is provided with a projection (62) oriented away from said limb (24), in such a way that, when the wedge body (64) is at its maximum width in the U-section (22), the projection (66) of the wedge body rests on the projection (62) of the related limb (24).
