[origin: WO2012110277A1] The invention relates to a halogen incandescent bulb for vehicle headlights, comprising a coiled filament (3) arranged inside a translucent lamp vessel (1), wherein the filament (3) is dimensioned such that, during operation with an operating voltage of 13.2 V, the electrical power consumption of the halogen incandescent bulb is in the range of greater than 22 watts and less than or equal to 27 watts, and the bulb generates a light current in the range of 400 lumens to 600 lumens.
