[origin: WO2012080454A1] The present invention relates primarily to a mixture, which is suitable for use in the no-bake method for producing cores and molds for the foundry industry, and to a reaction mixture comprising such a mixture and an acid hardener (i.e. a catalyst acid). The present invention further relates to a method for producing a mixture according to the invention and to a method for producing a casting mold or a core. The invention further relates to a casting mold or a core for producing metal bodies and to a kit comprising a mixture according to the invention and certain acid hardeners. The invention also relates to the use of a mixture according to the invention as a cold-setting binder and to the use of such mixtures or reaction mixtures in a no-bake method for producing metal bodies.
