[origin: CA2821142A1] The axial compressor has a two-stage guide-blade cascade (8) at the outlet-side end (5) of the rotor (4). The guide blades (11) of the second stage of the cascade are offset in the circumferential direction with respect to the guide blades (10) of the first stage in such a way that vortex plumes which are caused by the guide blades (10) of the first stage cannot impinge on the guide blades (11) of the second stage.
