[origin: EP2654141A1] The method involves inserting a front portion (3a) of contact (3) into a contact receptacle of connector housing portion that is hold through first retention unit of plug manufacturing unit (20). Rear portion (3b) of the contact is hold by holding device (21) of plug manufacturing unit. The first retention unit is pivoted to plug housing portion with respect to holding device (21) held by contact. A longitudinal axis (23) of contact is bent in range between front portion and rear portion of contact. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a plug manufacturing unit; and (2) a device for manufacturing plug.
