Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2012085427A1] The process for manufacturing the salt core with a view to being introduced into a foundry mould by casting of parts made of aluminium, aluminium alloy or light alloys obtained following foundry casting operations for the production of a foundry preform, is characterized in that the core is a salt powder and undergoes, for the shaping thereof, an isostatic compression operation of the salt powder, the core obtained in the desired shapes then being introduced into the foundry mould in order to produce the form to be obtained, and in that the form resulting from the foundry operation is a preform that includes the salt powder core obtained by isostatic compression, said preform then being forged with its core at a pressure between 600 and 700 MPa with a view to obtaining the final form of the product to be obtained, and the core then being discharged.
