[origin: WO2012084521A1] The invention relates to an elevator car which can be moved in an elevator shaft, wherein a venting device is attached to an outer car surface, wherein said venting device forms at least one ventilation duct, wherein the at least one ventilation duct has at least one primary ventilation opening which allows air to be exchanged between the ventilation duct and the elevator shaft, wherein at least one of the outer car surfaces has at least one secondary ventilation opening which allows air to be exchanged between a car interior space and the at least one ventilation duct, comprising at least one element made of insulating material, wherein the at least one element substantially determines a course of the at least one ventilation duct.
