[origin: WO2012084555A1] The invention relates to a device for applying a liquid to a running thread, comprising a wetting body having a wetting surface in which a plurality of openings are formed, which are arranged in a distributed manner, and are connected to a supply channel. In order to be able to execute the application of the liquids to the thread with a high degree of uniformity, according to the invention the wetting body is formed by a plate stack comprising a plurality of plates, wherein each plate has a longitudinal groove at least on one side surface, and wherein the plates form the wetting surface, into which the longitudinal grooves lead, together with a plate edge.
