[origin: WO2012084380A1] The invention relates to a device (2) for producing and/or treating a material web, in particular a fiber material web (F), having a strip transfer system (3) for transferring a strip (RS) of the material web, comprising at least one first transfer region (15) free of a cable arrangement and a second transfer region (16) connected downstream of the first transfer region (15) by means of a transition region (18) and having a cable arrangement (17), the transition region (18) extending from a release region (19) of the first transfer region (15) for the strip (RS) to a clamping region (20) for the strip (RS) formed by the cable arrangement (17) of the second transfer region (16), and means (21) for deflecting the strip (RS) from the web travel path being provided in the transition region (18). The invention is characterized in that the length of the web travel path (S) in the transition region (18) is > 3.2 m, preferably > 3.5 m, particularly preferably > 4 m in the direction of travel of the web.
