Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2012084230A1] A modular bridge element (10) for forming a modular bridge which is relocatable by means of a relocating device of a relocating vehicle, wherein the bridge is a short bridge formed from a bridge element or is a long bridge formed from at least two bridge elements (10, 10'). The bridge comprises a flexurally rigid upper chord (14) designed as a carriageway, at least one ramp section (12) which is designed as a carriageway or entry ramp and is connected to the upper chord in an articulated manner, a flexurally soft lower chord (16), connecting means (27, 27', 27") for connecting two bridge elements to the long bridge when the ramp section (12) is raised, and a coupling device (18) for connecting the free ends of the lower chord (16) and ramp section (12). The coupling device (18) has a triangular joint with an upper and a lower plate element (22A, 22B), which plate elements are connected to each other in an articulated manner. The upper plate element (22A) is connected in an articulated manner to the ramp section (12) and the lower plate element (22B) is connected in an articulated manner to the lower chord (16), wherein the articulated connections between the upper plate element (22A) and ramp section (12) and between the lower plate element (22B) and lower chord (16) are lockable, and wherein the coupling device (18) has a folded state in which the coupling device forms the tip of a ramp, and an unfolded state in which said coupling device forms a support for the bridge element.
