Abstract (en)
The method involves folding a portion of a workpiece i.e. metal sheet (4), at an edge, and allowing a bent workpiece section to have multiple sides. The folded portion of the workpiece is allowed to form predetermined angle with respect to a residual portion. The bent workpiece section is formed relative to a transformation part that is directed downward. An outer contour of the bent workpiece section is formed at the sides, and the residual portion is disconnected.

Es wird ein Verfahren zum Einbringen einer nach unten gerichteten Umformung (24) in einen Abschnitt eines plattenartigen, auf einer Werkstückauflage (3) einer Werkzeugmaschine (1) liegenden und relativ zu der Werkstückauflage bewegten Werkstücks (3), insbesondere eines Blechs, bereitgestellt. Das Verfahren weist einen Abkantschritt zum Abkanten des Abschnitts des Werkstücks (3) auf, wobei ein abgekanteter Werkstückabschnitt (22) mehrere Seiten aufweist und nur auf einer Seite, die mit einem auf der Werkstückauflage (3) liegenden Restabschnitts (23) des Werkstücks (3) verbunden ist, abgekantet wird, so dass der abgekantete Werkstückabschnitt (22) bezüglich des Restabschnitts (23) um einen vorbestimmten Winkel (±) hochgestellt ist, und einen Umformschritt zum Umformen des abgekanteten Werkstückabschnitts (22) in die relativ zu dem abgekanteten Werkstückabschnitt (22) nach unten gerichtete Umformung auf.
