Abstract (en)

[origin: EP2659792A2] The method involves providing cut filter segments (8) such that the cut filter segments are spaced apart from each other along axial direction. A double length filter segment (7) on an assembling drum (52) is inserted in a gap between the cut filter segments trough a filter segment feed device. The axial spacing of the cut filter segments is performed by a single spreading drum (56). The specific cut filter segment is displaced axially and the other cut filter segment is located in the axial position. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a device for assembling filter segment groups for manufacturing multi-segment filter; (2) a multi-segment filter manufacturing machine; and (3) a method for filter change of section for assembling filter segment groups.
