[origin: EP2659959A1] Apparatus comprises at least one vertically adjustable stirrer (3) arranged in a substrate carrier (1), where the stirrer includes a stirring wheel (5) with a horizontal axis of rotation (6), and the stirring wheel consists of two discs aligned parallel to one another, between which a number of stirring blades (14) are arranged. The substrate carrier comprises a circumferential wall and a bottom, where the circumferential wall is oriented at a vertical principal axis.
