[origin: EP2660038A2] The press has a main cylinder (10) comprising a separate cylinder bottom (24), and a plunger piston (42) more displaceable in the cylinder. A relative movement between the cylinder and the cylinder bottom is made by utilizing a positioning device. A plunger piston drive i.e. working cylinder (46), acts on the plunger piston. The cylinder is firmly arranged at a machine frame (28). An end adjacent to the cylinder moves an end of the cylinder bottom transverse to an axis of the cylinder. The cylinder bottom and the cylinder comprise end faces (22, 30), which are coacted opposite to each other. The positioning device is designed as a drive lever (32) and a working cylinder (38).
