[origin: EP2660542A2] The refrigerating and freezing appliance has a condensate reservoir that is configured to receive condensate. A fan is configured to generate an air flow over a condenser (10). The heat is passed from a condenser to the condensate. The condenser is in the form of planar element. A sheet element is extended parallel to the surface of the water located in the condensate container. An independent claim is included for a system of refrigerating and freezing appliance.
