[origin: EP2660792A1] The method involves detecting the onboard unit (OBU) (9) of a vehicle (2) and the OBU (10) of a load (3) when an evaluation of the radio communications (7,8) with the radio-beacon (6) reveals the limited and constant mutual distance. The characteristic data of the OBUs is received by the radio-beacon and the received characteristic data is logged and sent to a memory. The logged characteristic data is picked out over the interface.
