The method involves producing the active surface of the primary tool half (14). The active surface of the secondary tool half (13) is produced. The elastic deformability of one of tool half is considered during the generation of the active surface of the secondary tool half. The deformation function is applied to sheet metal holder (16) for determining an active surface of the sheet metal holder.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Werkzeugs, zum Umformen von Werkstücken (20), wobei das Werkzeug mindestens eine erste Werkzeughälfte (14) und eine zweite Werkzeughälfte (13) umfasst und jede Werkzeughälfte (13, 14) zumindest eine Wirkoberfläche aufweist, die der anderen Werkzeughälfte (14, 13) zugewandt ist, so dass das Werkstück (20) durch in Kontakt bringen mit den Wirkoberflächen umgeformt wird, mit den Schritten: - Erzeugen der Wirkoberfläche der ersten Werkzeughälfte (14), - Erzeugen der Wirkoberfläche der zweiten Werkzeughälfte (13), dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass zumindest bei dem Erzeugen der Wirkoberfläche der zweiten Werkzeughälfte (13) die elastische Verformbarkeit mindestens einer Werkzeughälfte (13, 14) berücksichtigt wird.
