Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2662934A2] The connection has a conductor (7) made of aluminum or an aluminum alloy, and an insulation with a contact portion (1) made of copper or copper alloy. The insulation in a region of an end of a cable (2) is removed. A connection cap (10) made of aluminum or an aluminum alloy which surrounds the stripped portion of the cable partially, is pressed together with the conductor. The connection cap is equipped with a sleeve (11) and an end wall (12). The contact portion of the insulation is sealed by the end wall of the connection cap. An independent claim is included for a method for preparing a compound of an electrical cable.
