[origin: WO2012094769A1] The invention relates to a bivouac shelter (1) for residing outdoors, containing a basic unit (2) which forms a tunnel- or sack-like body accommodating space (7) having an access opening (17) for a person (18). The bivouac shelter (1) contains a closure unit (3), by means of which the body accommodating space (7) can be closed in a thermally insulating and airtight manner. The closure unit (3) also comprises a connecting body (4) which can be mounted transversely over the access opening (17) and which can be connected in a thermally insulating manner to the basic unit (2). The closure unit (3) furthermore contains a hood (5), attached to the connecting body (4), for accommodating the head (19) of a person (18) lying with their body (24) in the body accommodating space (7). The basic unit can contain a foot-side terminating element (30).
