Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2012095407A1] In a method according to the invention and a corresponding device for filtering a signal, a noisy input signal is continuously examined in order to determine whether said input signal is within or outside of a deadband. The deadband width and the zero point of the deadband are continuously adapted to the noise power of the input signal depending on the time behavior of the input signal and a predefined system time constant and at least one filtered output signal is continuously output, such as a deadband signal, which substantially corresponds to a smoothed input signal. The invention further relates to a control apparatus, which comprises signal filtering according to the invention.
