Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2012071009A1] The present invention concerns a method of and a system for placing a series of trays in an end to end or side to side contacting relationship, each of said trays having a body and an upper outwards projecting rim. Further, it also concerns a method of and a system for picking selected items from an in-feed device and delivering them by means of a picker robot to varying selected trays in a plurality of parallel series of movable trays, arranging the trays in an end to end or side to side contacting relationship and each of said trays having a body and an upper outwards projecting rim. One object of the invention is to establish a constant centre to centre distance between the trays by placing the trays such that one of the rims of two adjacent trays is on top of the other rim, and said other rim abuts the body of the tray having the upper rim.
