[origin: WO2012098192A1] The invention relates to a camera arrangement for a motor vehicle, comprising a camera (7) that is located in the vehicle interior behind a vehicle window pane (2) and a beam guidance element that is positioned between the vehicle window pane and the camera, said element having or forming a prism (3). The camera has an electronic camera sensor (5) comprising a pixel array and the optical characteristics of the camera (7) and the prism (3) are adjusted to each other in such a way that the maximum beam divergence caused by the dispersion of the prism within the wavelength range recorded by the camera on the camera sensor lies within a pixel size of the pixel array (5).
