In order to considerably simplify the laying of cables in a conductor rail assembly for use in exhibition booth construction and shop fitting and also take the safety aspects regarding load distribution and grounding into account, without compromising statics, according to the invention the conductor rail is used as an electrical conduction system for a cross-member system, consisting of cross-members which can be assembled by plug connections, in exhibition booth construction and shop fitting, and forced grounding of the cross-member system is created by attaching the conductor rail or the conductor rail housing (2) to the cross-member (1).
