[origin: EP2667687A1] The operation control device (10) has a transducer (17) whose output portion (21) is connected with a light arrangement (11). A control unit (22) adjusts the brightness of the light arrangement by the activation of control switch (23) connected in series with light arrangement. The control unit controls the transducer when the control switch is opened such that the output current (IA) at the output portion of the transducer is increased to charge an output capacitor (CA) during a charging period until the control switch is closed. An independent claim is included for a method for operating light arrangement.
