Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2012107293A2] The invention relates to a circuit for actuating a plurality of series-connected luminous elements, comprising a plurality of electronic switches which can be actuated depending on a rectified line voltage, wherein the plurality of electronic switches are arranged parallel to at least some of the luminous elements, wherein each of the plurality of electronic switches during activation short-circuits at least one of the series-connected luminous elements, comprising at least one energy store which during a charging phase is connected in parallel to a first group of luminous elements based on the electronic switches and during a discharging phase is connected in parallel to a second group of luminous elements based on the electronic switches.
