Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2669088A1] The unit has a shutter cylinder (1) i.e. thin walled pipe, for retaining a container and comprising a side wall (2) that surrounds the container. The side wall comprises a printing aperture (8) and an irradiating aperture for printing the container through the apertures and for irradiating the container arranged within the cylinder through the apertures. The apertures are arrangeable in front of a print head or a radiation source. The unit shields nozzles of the print head during treatment of an emitted electromagnetic radiation. An end of the cylinder comprises top and bottom flanges (4, 5).
