Abstract (en)
A pressure relief device suitable to be connected to a power transformer comprising a tank filled with an insulating fluid, the pressure relief device comprising a shaped body having: - a connection flange provided with a through opening and suitable to be connected to the tank; - an end cap which is spaced apart from the connection flange; - a valve element which is displaceable between a first position where it is suitable to at least partially close the through opening of the connection flange and a second position where it is spaced away from the through opening; - at least one elastic element which is operatively connected to the valve element so as to urge it towards the first position; and - a pressure transducer which is positioned inside the shaped body and is adapted to continuously sense the pressure inside the tank.
