The induction heating device (12) has five independent induction heating groups (20,22,24,26,28) An electronic unit (16) is provided for the induction heating groups to supply maximum of two different power supplies (30,40). The electronic unit is provided with two heating frequency modules (32,42) to supply energy from different power supplies to induction heating groups. The heating frequency modules are provided with circuit boards. An independent claim is included for a method for operating induction heating device.

Die Erfindung geht aus von einer Induktionsheizvorrichtung (12-12f), insbesondere Induktionskochfeldvorrichtung, mit zumindest fünf unabhängigen Induktionsheizgruppen (20-20f, 22-22f, 24-24f, 26-26f, 28-28f, 52c-52f, 54e-54f, 56f) und einer Elektronikeinheit (16-16f), die dazu vorgesehen ist, die Induktionsheizgruppen (20-20f, 22-22f, 24-24f, 26-26f, 28-28f, 52c-52f, 54e-54f, 56f) zu versorgen. Um eine Bauteil- und/oder Kostenersparnis, insbesondere bei ausreichender Leistungsversorgung, zu erreichen, wird vorgeschlagen, dass die Elektronikeinheit (16-16f) dazu vorgesehen ist, die Induktionsheizgruppen (20-20f, 22-22f, 24-24f, 26-26f, 28-28f, 52c-52f, 54e-54f, 56f) von maximal zwei unterschiedlichen Energiequellen (30-30f, 40-40f) zu versorgen.
