[origin: WO2012104058A1] The invention relates to a cross-flow heat exchanger for rapidly controlling the temperature of a fluid flow in a first channel group (3) by a heat exchanger fluid flow in a second channel group (5) crossing the first, each having a plurality of channels (2), wherein the channels of each channel group are each disposed in a dedicated plane. The aim of the invention is to provide a cross-flow heat exchanger that allows uniform temperature control of the fluid, the temperature of which is to be controlled, by means of a heat carrier fluid in all channels of the first channel group. The aim is achieved in that the flow cross section of channels of the second channel group increases downstream of the heat exchanger fluid flow.
