[origin: EP2671460A1] The method involves producing a perforation pattern (4) with perforation holes (104) rotating in a circumferential direction of filter cigarettes (100) by using a perforation device. Another perforation pattern (5) with perforation holes (105) is produced using another perforation device adjacent to the former perforation pattern in a peripheral zone portion of covering paper strips (9) and envelope strips (103) of filter cigarettes, where the former perforation pattern is formed in the circumferential direction of the filter cigarettes. An independent claim is also included for a device for manufacturing filter cigarettes.
