Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2671989A1] The lock has a pullable lock part (12b) provided for pulling needles (N1) that is utilized at knitting process, where the lock is designed in a symmetrical manner regarding to a middle plane (SM). A knitting system (S2) comprises a selection unit for selection of one third of needles (N3) from the former needles. Overflow agents are not provided in the knitting system for the latter number of needles. The latter needles are not driven out in a wide manner such that the latter needles are utilized in the knitting system during a knitting process. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a filigree knitted fabric on a flat knitting machine.
