Abstract (en)

[origin: EP2487251A1] Use of a marker sequences for the diagnosis of prostate cancer, excluding inflammatory prostate diseases, diabetes, or polymorbidity, is claimed, where: at least one marker sequence of a cDNA comprising SEQ ID NOs 1-246 and/or SEQ ID NOs 247-452 or their coded proteins or their subsequence or fragments, is determined from a patient to be examined; and the sequences are not defined. Independent claims are included for: (1) a method for diagnosing prostate cancer, excluding inflammatory prostate diseases, diabetes, or polymorbidity comprising applying the marker sequence on a solid support and contacting with a body fluid or tissue extract of a patient and determining the interaction of the body fluid or tissue extract containing the marker sequences; (2) assay, protein biochip consisting of an assembly comprising the marker sequence, where the marker sequences are applied on a solid support; (3) use of an assay for identifying and characterizing a substance for prostate cancer comprising means for detecting a binding success, where the assembly or assay is contacted with the substance, and a binding performance is detected; and (4) target for the treatment and therapy of prostate cancer, comprising the marker sequences. ACTIVITY : Cytostatic. MECHANISM OF ACTION : None given.
