[origin: EP2677098A1] The closing device (1) has a latch element, which is moved to and fro between a closed position and an open position in an automatic manner during the normal operation. The latch element is prestressed in the closed position in the normal operation. An actuating unit is provided, by which the latch element is manually moved from the closed position to the open position in an emergency operation, when the prestressing is eliminated in the open position. An independent claim is included for a method for emergency opening of an automatic closing device.
