[origin: WO2012113587A1] The invention relates to a control valve for a fuel injector, in particular a common rail fuel injector, comprising a valve body (1) and a valve member (2) which is guided, such that it can perform a stroke movement, in a guide (3) of the valve body (1) and has a sealing surface (5) which interacts with a valve seat (4), wherein lifting of the sealing surface (5) from the valve seat (4) results in a release of pressure from a high-pressure chamber (6) formed between the guide (3) and the valve seat (4). According to the invention, in the region of the guide (3), at least one annular edge (7) which serves as a scraper is formed on the valve body (1) and/or on the valve member (2), wherein the annular edge (7) runs along the line of intersection of two delimiting surfaces (8, 9) which enclose an angle (a) = 90°. The invention also relates to a fuel injector having a control valve of said type.
