[origin: WO2012113579A1] The invention relates to a reciprocating piston pump (1) having a magnet drive and a first displacement chamber (25) and a second displacement chamber (26), which are separated from each other by a piston (7), wherein both displacement chambers (25, 26) are connected to each other by a fluid-conducting channel (28). An overflow valve (9) is arranged in the channel (28) and allows a preferred flow from the first displacement chamber (25) to the second displacement chamber (26), wherein an additional return valve (14) is arranged either in a transition region between an inlet (13) and the first displacement chamber (25) or in a transition region between the second displacement chamber (26) and an outlet (19), an armature (6) of the magnet drive being firmly connected to the piston (7).
