The furniture (1) has two lateral armrests (2) provided with a recess (3), and a seat (4) laterally delimited by the armrests. A rising auxiliary device (8) enables reversible adjustment of the furniture from a sitting position into a rising subsidiary position, where the rising auxiliary device includes an electrical actuator and an adjusting mechanism. The actuator is arranged in the recess of the armrests in the sitting position of the furniture. Parts of the adjusting mechanism are arranged in the recess in the sitting position of the furniture.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Sitzmöbel mit zwei seitlichen Armlehnen (2), die jeweils mindestens eine Ausnehmung (3) aufweisen, mit einem Sitz (4), der von den beiden Armlehnen (2) seitlich begrenzt ist, mit einer Aufstehhilfsvorrichtung, mit deren Hilfe das Sitzmöbel (1) aus einer Sitzposition in eine Aufstehhilfsposition und umgekehrt verstellbar ist, wobei die Aufstehhilfsvorrichtung mindestens einen Stellantrieb (11) und eine Stellmechanik (12) aufweist, und mit mindestens zwei Grundträgern (9), die, zumindest in der Aufstehhilfsposition des Sitzmöbels (1), zumindest teilweise auf einer Standfläche (10) aufliegen und dadurch ein Fußgestell des Sitzmöbels (1) bilden, wobei mittels der vom Stellantrieb (11) angetriebenen Stellmechanik (12) das Sitzmöbel (1) gegenüber den Grundträgern (9) angehoben bzw. abgesenkt und dadurch aus der Sitzposition in die Aufstehhilfsposition und umgekehrt verstellt wird. Dieses ist besonders zweckmäßig dadurch, dass zumindest in der Sitzposition des Sitzmöbels (1), der Stellantrieb (11) in einer Ausnehmung (3) einer Armlehne (2) oder jeweils ein Stellantrieb (11) in jeweils einer Ausnehmung (3) der Armlehnen (2) angeordnet ist, und dass, zumindest in der Sitzposition des Sitzmöbels (1), zumindest Teile der Stellmechanik (12) in jeweils mindestens einer Ausnehmung (3) der Armlehnen (2) angeordnet sind.
