[origin: EP2679357A2] The apparatus i.e. brush cutter (1), has a combustion engine (9) arranged in a motor housing (2) and driving a work tool e.g. blade. A starting enrichment unit is configured for the combustion engine and includes an operating mode selector to be actuated by an operator, where the starting enrichment unit is provided with an operating position and a starting position. A reset unit resets the starting enrichment unit from the starting position to the operating position when a rotatably mounted crankshaft (12) assumes a rotational speed which exceeds reset rotational speed. The combustion engine is a mixture-lubricated single cylinder engine or two-stroke engine. The starting position is a warm starting position or a cold starting position.
