Abstract (en)
A composition and method for treating synthetic turf to improve the ball roll characteristics of the turf and improve protection against wear and tear. The composition for coating the pile of the turf includes a flexible acrylic resin polymer, or a modified vinyl polymer or co-polymer, together with a biocidal agent, a surface active agent and a de-foaming agent. The general procedure for applying the composition to the turf includes brushing the turf, spraying the composition onto the turf and then again brushing the turf. This basic operation may be repeated a number of times until the desired effect is achieved.
