[origin: EP2679828A2] The fan (3) has a main portion that is formed of an inlet opening (7) with a diameter of 44 mm, for flowing air. An impeller (6) has a circular inner region which has no wings at a bottom plate. The inner diameter of the circular inner region of the impeller is in a range of 43-50 mm, and the outer diameter of the circular inner region of the impeller is 76 mm. The ratio of the inner diameter of the circular inner region to the outer diameter of the circular inner region is greater than 0.5 and less than 0.7. An independent claim is included for a vacuum cleaner.
