[origin: WO2012117033A1] The present invention relates to a die stock and also to a holder and cutting insert for such a die stock. There is proposed a die stock (1) having a holder (2) in the form of a circular ring with receiving grooves (24) that are provided on the inner circumference (23) and extend in the axial direction, said receiving grooves (24) having a receiving groove profile for receiving in each case one cutting insert; a plurality of cutting inserts (3) arranged in in each case one receiving groove (24) in the holder (2), wherein each cutting insert (3) has at least one cutting edge (33) on a cutting face (32) directed towards the central holder longitudinal axis (4) and has a holding profile on the opposite holding face (31), wherein the receiving groove profile of the receiving grooves (24) and the holding profile of the cutting inserts (3) interact with one another such that a cutting insert (3) is guided in the axial direction (z) when inserted into its receiving groove(24) and is clamped in the radial direction (r) in the fully inserted state; and a holding means (51, 52) per cutting insert (3) in order to axially fix the end side of each cutting insert (3) in the receiving groove (24).
