The device (1) has cutting plate (4) with several cutting edges of grating (6) as upper closure for container (2), for cutting the to-be-cut material. An associated lid (5) pivotally coupled to the cutting plate is pivoted in the direction of the cutting plate so that foodstuff as to be cut through the grating are pressed into the container interior (3). The bottom of the cutting plate has releasable locking connection between the cutting plate and lid.

Eine Vorrichtung (1) zum Schneiden von Nahrungsmitteln wie Obst oder Gemüse weist als oberen Abschluss ihres Aufnahmebehälters (2) eine Schneidplatte (4) mit einem Gitter (6) mit einer Mehrzahl von Schneiden (7, 8, 9) auf. Schneidplatte (4) und Deckel (5) sind schwenkbar miteinander verbunden, sodass beim Verschwenken des Deckels (5) in Richtung Schneidplatte (4) das Nahrungsmittel als Schnittgut durch das Gitter (6) in das Behälterinnere gedrückt werden kann. Zwischen der Schneidplatte (4) und dem Deckel (5) ist eine von der Unterseite (10) der Schneidplatte (4) aus lösbare Rastverbindung vorgesehen.
