[origin: EP2683028A1] The system has a disk-like planar antenna (2) comprising a radiating front surface (2a), a back surface (2b) and a lateral outline (2c) having electric field reinforcing regions (9, 10). An annular shaped protecting device (4) is arranged for protecting the antenna from lightning. An internal surface (12i) is arranged for partially capping the lateral outline of the antenna by being in electrical contact with the lateral outline. The internal surface covers each electric field reinforcing region, where the protecting device has a curved external surface (12e) opposite the internal surface.
