[origin: EP2683177A1] The pump device (302) has a channel device (306), by which the pump device is brought into contact with a volume-variable element (304) e.g. inflatable in-ear balloon, of an earpiece device such that a medium e.g. air, flows from the pump device to the volume-variable element through the channel device. A filling mechanism (310) is designed for pumping and conveys the medium to the volume-variable element through the channel device. A drainage mechanism (320) is designed for pumping, and conveys the medium away from the volume-variable element through the channel device. An independent claim is also included for a method for varying a volume content of a volume-variable element on an earpiece device of a hearing device.
