[origin: WO2012123375A1] The invention relates to a sample receptacle (A) comprising a housing (2) that forms a sample chamber for receiving a sample and has at least one annular opening that extends in a channel-like manner into the sample chamber, and a spherical closure element (8), wherein the diameter of the closure element (8) exceeds the diameter of the opening channel in at least one (closure) section (11) only to such an extent that the closure element (8) can be fixed with its greatest circumference in the closure section (11) in a force-fitting manner, the spherical closure element being in contact with the housing (12), and wherein the opening channel forms a projection between the closure section (11) and the inner opening, said projection reducing the opening cross section of the opening channel relative to the opening cross section in the closure section (11).
