[origin: WO2012119816A1] The invention relates to a spring bracket arm of a spring bracket of a motor vehicle axle, in particular a portal axle, with a longitudinal section (1) with a curved profile, a cross section (2) adjoining the longitudinal section (1) and running transversely with respect thereto, and a flange section (3), in particular for connection to a wheel hub gearbox, wherein the transverse section (2) accommodates at least one fastening point (4, 5) for the connection to a shock absorber (18) and/or to a suspension system, characterized in that the spring bracket arm is formed as a whole as a cast part made of a light metal alloy and has at least one ribbed arrangement. The invention furthermore relates to a motor vehicle axle, in which spring bracket arms mentioned above in the region of spring brackets are used.
