Abstract (en)

The device comprises multiple inductors that are mounted on the cooking surfaces (12) in a direction perpendicular to the cooking surface direction. A pan detection unit is provided to detect a size, a shape and/or position of the cookware elements (18) mounted on the cooking surfaces. A control unit is provided for actuating the inductors mounted on the cooking surfaces. The control unit is provided to control a display element to indicate the positional area of the cookware elements covered with the inductors in the heating zones (24), to initiate a selection process. An independent claim is included for a method for operating a cooking device.

Abstract (de)

Die Erfindung geht aus von einer Kochfeldvorrichtung mit einer Mehrzahl von unter einer Kochfläche (12, 12b) angeordneten Induktoren (14, 14b), mit einem Topferkennungssystem (16, 16b) zu einer Detektion von ein oder mehreren der auf der Kochfläche (12, 12b) aufgestellten Kochgeschirrelementen (18, 18b) und mit einer Steuereinheit (20, 20b) zum Betätigen der Induktoren (14, 14b). Um eine gattungsgemäße Vorrichtung mit verbesserten Eigenschaften hinsichtlich Benutzerkomfort, Flexibilität und Produktionskosten bereitzustellen, wird vorgeschlagen, dass die Steuereinheit (20, 20b) dazu vorgesehen ist, zumindest eine Kenngröße der von den Kochgeschirrelementen (18, 18b) bedeckten Induktoren (14, 14b) zu einer Einleitung eines Auswahlprozesses auszugegeben.
