Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2012131535A1] The present invention describes a rigid, extendible bathtub. Said bathtub will be substantially constituted by three rigid elements: a fixed element(10), a slidable element (30) and an extension element (20) capable of being placed inside the thickness of said fixed (10) and slidable (30) elements. The extendible bathtub that is the object of the present invention proposes a system that is reversible and quick for varying the width dimension, characterized by the exit of the extension element (20) which becomes visible and usable following the lateral sliding, exerted by the user, of the slidable element (30); in such a manner, said extension element (20) can in turn slide on a pair of parallel tracks, so as to extend the width of said tub. The present invention describes and claims a bathtub whose width can be reversibly varied, passing from a closed configuration, which is naturally narrower, to an open configuration in which said bathtub is wider and usable by two people simultaneously with extreme comfort.
