[origin: WO2012130376A1] The invention relates to a process for introducing foam material (1) into hollow-chamber profiles (2), more particularly hollow-chamber profiles for windows or for doors. First, the hollow-chamber profile (2) having at least one hollow chamber (3) is shaped in an extrusion process. Foam material (1) is then introduced into at least one hollow chamber (3). The foaming procedure for the foam material (1) takes place at least to some extent only after the introduction of the foam material (1) into the hollow chamber (3). Between the foam material (1) and the wall (5) of the hollow chamber (3), an intermediate layer (6) is provided, which at least to a substantial extent separates the area of the wall (5) from the foam material (1). The invention also relates to a hollow-chamber profile (2).
