[origin: WO2012131197A1] The invention relates to a to-and-fro aerial lift system comprising two carrying-hauling ropes (11, 12) extending in two individual closed loops between two end stations (A, B) separated from one another by an intermediate station ST which is provided with a double pulley (16). The double pulley is provided with two grooves having different groove-bottom diameters (D1, D2), such that the ratio of the diameters (D1/D2) is equal to the ratio (L1/L2) of the axial distance (L1) between the first end pulley (14) and the double pulley (16) and the axial distance (L2) between the second end pulley (15) and the double pulley (16). The speeds (v1) and (v2) of the vehicles (13a, 13b) are also different in the two loops.
